The flight costs $130 per person with a $15 deposit, with sunrise flights operating approximately 5:30–7:00 AM.
Bookings are non-refundable unless the flight is cancelled due to weather or operational reasons, in which case you can reschedule or receive a full refund in Lao Kip (LAK).

We are the first and only hot air balloon operator in Vang Vieng, Laos, authorized by the Department of Civil Aviation.
Experience Vang Vieng’s beautiful panoramic scenery from the air. After enjoying the other activities Vang Vieng has to offer, relax and take a hot air balloon flight over the countryside.
Vang Vieng is a wonderful place to fly, giving you the chance to enjoy the peaceful Lao countryside at sunrise or sunset. You will experience spectacular views of the mountains, rice fields, clear rivers, and Vang Vieng town.
Included: Pickup and drop-off at your Vang Vieng hotel or guesthouse.
Sunrise Flight: Approximately 5:30 AM–7:00 AM
Lao New Year Notice
Please note that evening flights will be suspended from April 13–16, during the Lao New Year celebrations. For cultural reasons, we cannot fly over Buddha images or temples during this period, and our staff will also be celebrating Lao New Year.
During this period, we will operate sunrise flights only.
Christmas and New Year Tariff
From December 15 to January 15, an additional $5 per person applies to all flights.
Additional Information
1. Balloons:
There are four balloons operating in Vang Vieng/Laos. We operate flights twice per day.
2. Medical Conditions:
People with medical conditions should notify us before taking any of our tours. This includes conditions such as heart problems, diabetes, epilepsy, etc.
3. Booking Policy:
Once your booking is confirmed, it cannot be cancelled and no refund will be provided, except in the circumstances described below.
4. Cancellation Due to Weather:
If the balloon cannot fly due to bad weather or other operational reasons, you can reschedule your flight for another time or another day. Alternatively, you can cancel and receive a full refund from the VLT Tours office. Refunds are provided in Lao Kip (LAK) only.
5. Agency Bookings:
We work with many agencies in Vang Vieng and throughout Laos. If you book through another agency, their cancellation and refund policies may be different. Please confirm their policies directly with the agency before booking.
6. Insurance and Safety:
We do our best to make sure you have a fantastic time in Vang Vieng and Laos. We take great care to ensure your safety and well-being.
